Makeup Hacks that make you look 10 years younger
Today on the blog, I am sharing tips on how I keep my skin looking young, and youthful. It’s so important to care for your skin at a young age. It is also just as important that you use makeup that compliments you and your features and doesn’t age you. Here are my tips and tricks on how to look 10 years younger!
Invest in an Anti-Aging Moisturizer
Expert Tested Anti-Aging Moisturizers that work
The most important part of your makeup routine, is the skin! The better you care for your skin, the less makeup you will will have to wear. Having clear skin is the key to looking younger! Have you ever seen celebrities that look amazing in their 60’s? Christie Brinkley is the perfect example! I can only hope I look that good when I’m that age. You can tell that a priority of hers was taking care of her skin.
Well I can tell you it all starts with the right moisturizer! Prepping the skin is the most important part and you should use an anti-aging moisturizer every morning and night. Although every morning you should use a moisturizer that contains SPF in it.

Use a lightweight tinted moisturizer or lightweight foundation
If you are going for a more flawless, natural look, than you will definitely want to use a tinted moisturizer. The moisturizer won’t settle in your wrinkles and appear to make you look more tired and “cakey.” No matter how much you blend the foundation out, if it’s too thick there is no smoothing it out wrinkles and fine lines unlike a moisturizer.
I use a tinted moisturizer in the summer when my skin is clear and already has color to it. Since I use mine during the summer months it is always smart to have an SPF in it so you are protecting your skin during the day.

Use a thin concealer
The same goes for concealer as foundation. The thicker the formula the more it will settle into wrinkles and fine lines and appear to make you look older. I personally like to use a more water based concealer as it’s easier to work with and you can get it really where you want it. I use this a lot on my mother-of-the-brides and they seem to love it!

Use a transcluent powder
Instead of adding more coverage to your face by applying a powder, instead use a translucent powder to set everything in place. It will still allow your face to breathe throughout the day and will help keep your skin looking youthful!

Avoid using a harsh eyeliner
Instead of using a harsh eyeliner, consider using a brown, white on your waterline, blue, or a violet! Honestly, all of those color pigments go on beautiful you just have to find the right formula for you. Brown is always a safe alternative and looks great with all skin types. Also consider a new technique for your eyeliner. Whether you’re more of a cat-eyed girl, or you like a harsh liner you can create a whole new eye shape just by the way you do your eyeliner.

Investing in blush
Many over do the blush and actually can make their face look more round than it normally is. One swipe of a light pink blush would look beautiful on anyone. I would recommend to stay away from any with glitter, or sparkles as it may make your pores look bigger than they are.

Avoid mascara on your lower lash line
Adding macara on your lower lash line can make you look like you have dark bags under your eyes. Many times it enhances the bags and makes your eyes appear much smaller and more tired.

Avoid filling eyebrows too dark
Filling your brows in too much or too dark can make it appear that you have no brows, and can make your face look much smaller than what it is. Eyebrows frame your face and you don’t want them to over power your face. Your brows should not be the first thing people look at.

Avoid Dark Lipsticks
Filling in your lips to get a more plumping affect is great! Make sure your using a nude color or a peachy pink color. Those colors always look great on everyone of all skin tones, and all ages. Stay away from dark, harsh colors that can make your lips look small, and drained.
