Looking for the perfect photographer to take pictures can be very time consuming, and expensive. Every girl wants a photographer that will make her shoot fun, unique, and affordable. All that together is A LOT to ask for believe me. I can’t tell you how many photographers I see have all their seniors pose a certain way, have the same hat, and a lot of time the same location! UGH! I knew I definitely didn’t want that. You only graduate, get married or proposed to once in your life so why do something everyone else has done? BORING! When I started modeling for Blue Layne Boutique last fall, I met the amazing and talented, Emily Martin! Emily is based in Toledo, OH and I’m so happy to have met her! Although most of the time we are shooting clothes rather than senior pictures, I’m still using almost all of them for my graduation invites, and party! Her expertise and attention to detail is almost priceless. Although, I can’t tell you how many times I forget to take my ponytail off my wrist and it’s always the focal point of the pictures..OOPS!! You would think I would’ve learned my lesson by now?!
Emily goes out of her way to make sure your pictures look EXACTLY how you want them. She is fun, and super nice! If you or someone you know is looking for a good photographer, it doesn’t just have to be for senior pictures, but I know a lot of people I go to school with are looking for a good, and reasonable photographer. So with that said, I highly recommend Emily! By the way…she is seriously an amazing baby photographer too! Please go check out her sites and show her some love!! During the Spring and Summer months many women don’t realize that you should not be using the same makeup that you are using for the winter months. Spring and Summer makeup looks should be soft, bright, flirty and effortless looking. It is ALWAYS a good idea to invest in good makeup, especially moisturizers. Not only does it help prevent wrinkles and sun damage but it will keep your skin looking young and fresh.
Tip #1: Do NOT wear heavy foundations, nothing is worse than seeing cakey makeup or watching it sweat off in public! YUCK! Instead chose a lightweight coverup or a BB Cream. It’s super light weight and breathable. To see my favorite BB Cream click here or another lightweight foundation here.
Tip #2: Use matte colored eyeshadows preferably bright colors such as purples, light pinks, or greens. Stay away from the dark fall colors like reds, and dark browns. You want to look as natural and fresh faced as possible. And have your makeup effortless and lightweight looking. {My favorite palette is here but a less expensive version here}
Tip #3: Stay away from eyeshadows that have a lot of shimmer on them. If you like this look more than the matte eyeshadow look, then just use the shimmer as a brow bone highlighter to enhance your eyes shape and look. This is my ultimate favorite eyeshadow palette here .
Tip #4: HYDRATE! Nothing is worse than flaky, dry skin! Always choose a moisturizer that has at least 15 SPF in it. This will help prevent wrinkles and sun damage. {Click here or less expensive version here }
Tip #5: Last, to add the finishing touches use a light shade of lipstick to finish the look. Dry, cracked lips are not very attractive either so be sure to hydrate and exfoliate lips on a regular basis. {To watch how to use a lip exfoliator click here} Or both here and here for a tinted lip treatment.

Happy Saturday everyone! As a woman we know that it isn’t always ideal to dress up in the same colored black pants and solid colored shirt to work everyday. At times, it can get very repetitive, and don’t you always want to feel your best at work? That is where you spend a majority of your time. It’s proven when you feel your best, or have a new outfit to wear you’re more likely to get more done! So as a woman in the business and entrepreneurial field you want to feel good about yourself! If you don’t follow me on social media, then you probably didn’t know that I was in Nashville all last week. I attended a business convention so I know that dressing up in all different types of business outfits can be challenging. On another note, I met so many well-established and successful business men and women. It is so rewarding getting to see people’s dreams come true! I had such a great time; I’ve never been to Nashville prior and was so impressed! I wanted to show one of my favorite business attire looks today on the blog.
For today’s look I broke out my new Kate Spade purse which I’m seriously IN LOVE with paired with a light blue button up, gray pants, and a pair of flats. It’s a simple, yet fashionable look for the average business women.

As you all can probably tell Spring is my favorite season! I love the bright, pastel colors which are always my go-to no matter what season it is. I saw a lot of flower head bands at Coachella last weekend, so I thought I would recreate a look with one of my favorite flower headbands. It’s cute, fun and flirty. Which makes it perfect for any occasion! All the different colors, makes it very versatile to wear with any outfit. If you’re looking for a way to dress up an outfit for a graduation party, night out with friends, or a date night this is it! This dress is vibrant enough to make you look tan and vibrant enough to wear during the Spring months.
